    Examination Pattern

    NIFT GAT Exam (B. Design)

    This examination will be conducted in offline mode. The duration of the Exam will be of two hours.
    Number of Questions asked: 100 Objective type questions.
    Syllabus Covered: Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Analytical Ability, General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
    Marking Scheme: Every correct answer will be awarded one mark and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

    NIFT GAT Exam (B.F. Tech)

    This examination will be conducted in offline mode. The duration of the Exam will be of three hours.
    Number of Questions asked: 150 Objective type questions.
    Syllabus Covered: Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability and English Comprehension, Analytical Ability and Logical Ability, General Knowledge, Current Affairs and case study.
    Marking Scheme: Every correct answer will be awarded one mark and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

    NIFT CAT Exam (B. Design)

    This examination will be conducted in offline mode. The duration of the Exam will be of three hours.
    Number of Questions asked: 3 Questions based on drawing. This exam will carry 100 marks.
    Syllabus Covered: NIFT conducts Creative Ability Test of 100 marks for admissions to B. Design programme to judge This exam will test candidates on their creative ability based on Intuitive Ability, Power of observation in Concept Development and Design Ability. Candidates will also be tested on the creative and innovative use of colours and illustration skills.
    Marking Scheme: There is no specific marking scheme for this exam.

    Syllabus for GAT 

    Reasoning: coding/decoding, directions, ranking, series, sitting patterns, clocks, family tree, blood relations, graphs, puzzles, cubes and dices, etc.

    General Knowledge: static GK like history, latest current affairs and news related to fashion industry, etc.

    Mathematics: number system, averages, ratios, time & speed, profit & loss, trigonometry, probability, permutations & combinations, mixtures & alligations, etc.

    English: synonyms, antonyms, error spotting, idioms & phrases, sentence corrections, one word substitution, spellings, jumbled words, cloze tests, etc.
